You know, I've always liked writing, always tried to do a little writing, mainly about my adventures with pets, but I
never really pursued the craft like a real writer does. I just never had the passion.
Then a couple of years ago, I was the victim of a totally unexpected brain fart in which I decided to try and write some
fiction...ROMANCE of all things (anyone who knows me knows how gut-busting this is)!
It started with a 19 chapter, absolutely horrid piece of Mummy fanfiction (hush! I heard that!). I learned alot
from that piece, actually... I learned who your true friends are, and I learned how catty some people can be. But above
all, I had fun. I really did...
So I had a second and third brain fart, the third of which is still in progress.
The Accidental Muse is my first try at romantic comedy. The plot is entirely predictable, the
mistakes are rampant, but for some reason, the story has been popular enough on fictionpress.com to nab over 15 thousand hits,
and mostly positive reviews (with the exception of one reviewer who proceeded to cyber scream curses on me because she
thought the story had ended, and on a bad note...long story). If you like cursing, sex, illegal drugs, and any number
of other rated R things, you might want to take a look:)
This one I have been having pure fun with. It's also a modern romantic comedy, isn't even close to finished yet,
but I am enjoying the hell out of writing this short story. One day I'll finish it... when that is, I have no idea!
My first ever attempt at painting a mural. We had
this big empty spot on the side of our garage, and I got sick of looking at it, so I bought a bunch of mistinted, marked down
paints from Home Depot, and tried my hand at painting. I'm not finished with it, but I'm pleased so far.
